Castelnau de Montmiral is another old bastide village worth a visit and is 10 minutes away with restaurant, bar and bakers plus a popular market. Monclar de Quercy is aproximately 10 minutes away. Here you can find the nearest small supermarket as well as restaurants, bars and a lovely lake complex for swimming, walking and picnics. The property is conveniently located 20 minutes from Gaillac, where you can find the nearest large supermarket and a bustling market, which is held there every week. Albi is 45 minutes and offers lovely shops and the Toulouse Lautrec Museum. Toulouse is 45 minutes and is perfect if you want large shops, the opera, ballet etc. All these towns are steeped in history. The coast is about a 2 hour drive away.
